A tour to Truong Sa archipelago will continue to be organised foroverseas Vietnamese, Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Thanh Son hasaffirmed at his meetings with representatives of Vietnamese associationsin Germany during his European trip on April 17-18.
Sontold the participants about stories on overseas Vietnamese visitingTruong Sa archipelago and organising a requiem for those who sacrificedtheir lives to protect Truong Sa and Hoang Sa archipelagoes.
Heemphasised that the Vietnamese State and army are determined andcapable of defending the fatherland’s territory, while reiterating thecountry’s persistent policy on sovereignty over sea and islands, and itsland border.
Talking with the executive board of the VietnamBusiness Association, the diplomat praised their contributions to thecountry’s development and pledged to work with them to clear bottlenecksfor their investment in the homeland.
Meeting withrepresentatives of the Vietnam Buddhists Association and Dong XuanCommercial Centre, the diplomat was interested in the organisation of aVietnamese cultural festival in August in Potsdam city. He said hewill suggest the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism joining in.
On this occasion, Son also met with the FederalUnion of the Vietnamese in Germany, during which he expressed his wishthat the Vietnamese community in Germany will enhance their unityfurther to preserve their prestige in the host country.-VNA
