The Dung Quat Oil Refinery, the first of its kind in Vietnam, has runsmoothly and safely through 600 days and nights, during which it soldover 11 million tonnes of products to the market.
Aceremony was held on April 15 in the central province of Quang Ngai,where the plant is located, to mark the achievements of the refinery.
The global insurance companies and technology copyrightsholders presented certificates certifying the safe, stable and effectiveoperation of the plant, which is operated by the Binh Son Refining andPetrochemical Company (BSR).
Since its operation in 2009, theplant has sold 26.7 million tonnes of products, raking in 543 trillionVND (25.5 billion USD) in revenue, and contributing 86 trillion VND(4.03 billion USD) to the State budget.
In the first threemonths of 2014, it marketed nearly 1.7 million tonnes of products,gaining over 37 trillion VND (1.7 billion USD). It sent over 7 trillionVND (333 million USD) to the State budget.
This year, the BSRhas set to earn 113.6 trillion VND (5.3 billion USD) from trading 5.18million tonnes of products and contribute over 13.7 trillion VND (644million USD) to the State budget.-VNA
