The 5th VietnamInternational Electrical Technology and Equipment Exhibition 2012 (Vietnam ETE2012) and the Greenergy Expo 2012 opened in Ho Chi Minh City on July 25.
Jointly organised by the VietnamElectricity Group (EVN), the Vietnam CIS Advertising and Exhibition Company,the Vietnam Electro-technicalIndustry Association, the Industry Policy and Strategy Institute (IPSI) and theInstitute of Energy (IE), the 4-day exhibition has attracted many domesticpopular manufacturers and businesses from Japan,the Republic of Korea,Singapore, China and Taiwan.
On display at Vietnam ETE 2012are a range of technologies, machinery and equipment for use in thermoelectric,diesel and nuclear power plants.
Products for electricitytransmission systems such as transformers, meters, power switch machines, highvoltage breakers, wires and cables, insulating materials and products for the civiland industrial electricity sector will also be showcased.
Organised for the first time in Vietnam, GreenergyExpo 2012 focuses on displaying equipment used to generate solar and wind poweras well as other new energy sources, products and technologies for savingelectricity, and solutions for managing and using energy effectively.
Many seminars on solutions forsaving energy towards a green economy in Vietnam will also be held withinthe framework of events.
According to Deputy Minister ofTrade and Industry Nguyen Thanh Bien, it is necessary to give priority todeveloping recyclable energy resources in the context of inevitable exhaustionof traditional energy resources.
Bien said Vietnam ETE 2012 andGreenergy Expo 2012 provide Vietnamese businesses the opportunity to share experience,seek new partners, promote products as well as take measures and ideas todevelop a green economy in Vietnam.-VNA
