Experiencing Vinaphone’s 5G in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City
The Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) on Dec. 19, 2020 officially announced Vinaphone’s 5G mobile coverage in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Vietnam has not fallen behind in launching a 5G network, having completed a technical pilot last year, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung said while being grilled in the Q&A session at the 14th National Assembly (NA) on November 6.

Telecoms service provider MobiFone is making final preparations for the launch of the commercial pilot of the fifth-generation (5G) network next month.
The VinSmart electronic equipment factory complex currently has a capacity of up to 23 million products per year, and is conducting testing and manufacturing made-in-Vietnam 5G smartphones.
Ho Chi Minh City has set a target to provide 100 percent of public services online at level 4 by 2030. Level 4 is the highest level of online public services, which allows users to fill and submit forms, and pay fees online.
