Export of dried pangasius swim bladder surges

According to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP), by the end of August 2024, exports of dried pangasius swim bladder reached 58 million USD, showing strong growth, particularly in the Chinese market.

Dried pangasius swim bladder, along with other value-added items like fish skin snacks, is increasingly popular internationally.

In the first eight months of this year, exports of dried pangasius swim bladder to China reached 21 million USD.

The product is also present in several Asian markets such as Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan (China)./.
