Festival to promote Hanoi’s craft village tourism

More than 400 pavilions will be set up to present tourism programmes, culinary culture and products of traditional craft villages of Hanoi and Red River Delta provinces during a festival in the capital city from October 9–12.

At the event, visitors will be given a chance to observe artisans at work and try their hands in making handicrafts.

Several forms of folk culture like water puppetry, calligraphy and “catru” singing will also be introduced at the festival along with toursaround craft villages in Hanoi .

Apart from theseactivities, the Hanoi People’s Committee will hold a discussion onmeasures to advance craft village tourism in Hanoi with theparticipation of scientists, authorities, artisans, travel agencies andinternational organisations.

As part of the 2013National Tourism Year of the Red River Delta–Hai Phong, the event aimsto honour, conserve and develop traditional craft villages, helpingpromote tourism in the region.-VNA

Hue kicks off Visit Vietnam Year 2025

With the theme “Hue - Ancient Capital, New Opportunity,” Visit Vietnam Year 2025 aims to strengthen tourism linkages between Hue and other cities and provinces nationwide, while enhancing the image, position, and brand of Vietnamese tourism in general and that of the central city in particular. The programme will feature four main seasonal activity groups representing spring, summer, autumn, and winter, encompassing over 170 national and provincial-level events.
