First Vice President of Cambodian Senate passes away

First Vice President of the Cambodian Senate Nay Pena passed away at 13:00 on September 29 at the age of 74, according to a statement released by the Senate of Cambodia.

Pnom Penh (VNA) - FirstVice President of the Cambodian Senate Nay Pena passed away at 13:00 onSeptember 29 at the age of 74, according to a statement released by the Senateof Cambodia.

Nay Pena is also a member of the CambodianPeople’s Party (CPP) Central Committee’s Standing Committee and Chairman of theCPP Central Committee’s Inspection Commission.

He was elected during the CambodianSenate election held in February 2018 and served as First Vice President of theCambodian Senate since April 23. 

The Vice President was born inSvay Rieng province of Cambodia.-VNA
