Foreign investors channel 101 million USD into Tay Ninh last month

As of January 22, Tay Ninh province housed 394 foreign invested projects worth more than 10.2 billion USD in value.

Tay Ninh (VNA) — The southeastern province of Tay Ninh attracted three foreign invested projects valued at 101 million USD in January, according to its People’s Committee.

The province, part of the southern key economic region, also approved almost 21 million USD added to three existing projects, its report on the January socio-economic performance shows.

With respect to domestic investment, it licensed a new project worth 80 billion VND (3.1 million USD) and approved capital adjustment of 25 billion VND to one project.

As of January 22, it housed 394 foreign invested projects worth more than 10.2 billion USD in value, along with 723 domestically invested ones with registered capital totalling over 140.8 trillion VND.

Tay Ninh’s exports rose by 7.3% from the previous month to 580 million USD, while imports were worth 558 million USD, up 6.4%.

Retail sales of goods were estimated at 8.6 trillion VND in January, up 13.4% from a year earlier.

The province welcomed almost 1 million visitors in January, a record number and double that of the same month last year, according to its Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Tourism turnover stood at 473 billion USD, surging 205% year-on-year./.

Nearly 16 trillion VND raised through January bond auctions

Vung Tau - Con Dao high-speed ferry reoperated
