Son La (VNA) – Police of Quynh Nhai district in the northernmountainous province of Son La on September 28 arrested four men when they wereillegally transporting about 54,000 methamphetamine pills to neighbouring LaoCai province.
The arrestees include Sung A Chu,31, Ly A So, 30, and Ly A Po, 28, residing in Pa Long commune of Thuan Chaudistrict, and Ly A Mua, 24, from Chieng An commune of Song Ma district.
They declared that they had beenhired by a man to transport the drugs from the border area in Song Ma districtto Lao Cai province, and would be paid 100 million VND (4,300 USD) if the taskis completed.
The police also seized twomotorbikes, four mobile phones and many other exhibits.
