Vientiane (VNA) – A ceremony was held at the Embassy of Vietnam in Vientiane on June 7 to present the Friendship Order to the Kaysone Phomvihane museum for its vigorous activities to honour President Ho Chi Minh.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Nguyen Ba Hung praised and thanked the museum for its effective activities over the past time, contributing to honouring the late Vietnamese leader, who is hailed as a national liberation hero of Vietnam and a great man of culture of the world, an embodiment of the special friendship between the two countries.

He also expressed his hope that the museum will continue to promote the sound work, helping to cement the special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos.

In response, Xayalath Phoneyalak, Director of the Kaysone Phomvihane Museum Department, expressed his honour as the museum received the noble order of the State of Vietnam.

He also emphasised works carried out between the two sides have contributed to further strengthen the great and long-standing friendship relations between Vietnam and Laos./.
