Hanoi (VNA) –
The VietnameseGovernment always supports the effective operation of the Vietnam-GermanyUniversity, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said while receivingPresident of the Organisation for Supporting World University of GermanyKambiz Ghawami in Hanoi on March 22.

The PM said the university has high qualityteaching and described this joint project as a “lighthouse” in the friendshipand cooperation between the two countries.

Vietnam attaches great importance to and wantsto develop its strategic partnership with Germany, he affirmed.

He hoped Ghawami, as a close friend of Vietnam,to continue helping promote the bilateral cooperation, especially in the fieldof education and training.

The PM also called on the administration of the HessenState to support initiatives celebrating the 45th founding anniversary ofVietnam-Germany diplomatic relations in 2020.

Ghawami said in the year, the German state willhave many cooperation plans with Vietnam, including the building of a specificprogramme to mark the event with the country’s Ministry of Education andTraining.

The two sides are expected to sign a bilateralagreement on education-training soon, he added.-VNA
