Hanoi ready to welcome visitors during National Day celebrations

To mark the occasion, Hanoi’s tourism sector has introduced 80 signature products across eight themes, from heritage and cultural tours to eco-tourism, cuisine, nightlife, and creative experiences.

Hanoi (VNA) – As the nation prepares to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2, 1945–2025), Hanoi’s tourism sector has launched a series of promotion and stimulus programmes, refreshing its offerings to welcome a large influx of visitors.

The capital will host a series of major events, including exhibitions at Hoa Lo Prison, the Thang Long Imperial Citadel and the Ho Chi Minh Museum, along with free-entry programmes at museums and heritage sites.

Highlights will feature special cultural performances such as “Hanoi – From the Historic Autumn of 1945” and “Hanoi – Shining with Vietnam’s Aspirations.”On September 2, a grand parade and match will take place at Ba Dinh Square, followed by fireworks displays at five locations across the city.

To mark the occasion, Hanoi’s tourism sector has introduced 80 signature products across eight themes, from heritage and cultural tours to eco-tourism, cuisine, nightlife, and creative experiences.

A highlight is the launch of the double-decker urban sightseeing train “Nam Cua O – The Hanoi Train” on August 19. Accommodation and dining services are also fully prepared.

Hanoi boasts over 3,700 lodging establishments with more than 71,000 rooms, alongside hotels and restaurants offering special packages, festive menus, and rooftop fireworks views. Night food streets such as Tong Duy Tan and Trinh Cong Son promise vibrant culinary experiences.

To ensure a safe and welcoming environment, the city is mobilising public services, encouraging businesses to open free restrooms, and coordinating with security forces to maintain order.

About 35,000 gifts will be presented to visitors paying tribute at President Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum on September 3.

Marking the 80th National Day, Hanoi’s tourism sector aims to showcase the capital as a civilised, dynamic and modern city.Authorities have coordinated preparations to ensure infrastructure, services, workforce and environment are in top condition, while tightening service management, security and communications to sustain the city’s appeal beyond the celebrations./.

Hue accelerates shift toward green, low-plastic tourism models

Over the past three years, Hue tourism authorities have strengthened communication and advocacy for plastic waste reduction through 10 training sessions with 690 participants, “Coffee Talk” events, professional Zalo groups, and direct engagement with businesses.
