Relic sites and tourist attractions in Hanoi reopened on March 8 with safety precautions put in place, after they were temporarily closed to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hanoi (VNA) – Relic sites and tourist attractions in Hanoi reopened onMarch 8 with safety precautions put in place, after they were temporarilyclosed to contain the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The capital city’s key attractions such as the Temple of Literature, Phu KhanhPagoda, Tao Sach Pagoda, Hoe Nhai Pagoda, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Hoa Loprison, and Ngoc Son Temple have settled to a “new normal”.

Meanwhile, the walking space around Hoan Kiem Lake is allowed to resumeactivities from March 12.

The attractions ordered visitors to wear face masks, use hand sanitisers, andkeep a safe distance during their stay.

According to Director of the Temple of Literature’s Centre for Scientific andCultural Activities Le Xuan Kieu, the relic site was sterilised beforereopening for tourists while QR Code for online healthcare declaration andinformation boards on COVID-19 prevention are displayed prominently in manyplaces.

Chairing a meeting between the city’s Steering Board for COVID-19 Preventionand Control and districts on March 8, Vice Chairman of the municipal People’sCommittee Chu Xuan Dung stressed that localities need to maintain preventionmeasures, and prepare for the next wave of COVID-19.

Communications work should be enhanced to raise public awareness of thepandemic prevention, particularly the Ministry of Health’s 5K message: khautrang (facemask), khu khuan (disinfection), khoang cach (distance), khong tutap (no gathering) and khai bao y te (health declaration)./.

Equipped with 1,837 AI-powered cameras installed at 195 key intersections, the centre serves as the “brain” for real-time monitoring of traffic conditions and urban order. HCM City tackles fishing violations at roots

As of December 9, all of the 4,475 fishing vessels in HCM City had registered and updated in the VNFishbase database, of them 4,268 licensed. The remainder, classified as ineligible, are strictly monitored and kept moored locally, with no permission to put to sea.
