HCM City People’s Council gets new Chairwoman

Nguyen Thi Le, deputy secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and head of the committee’s Organisation Commission, was voted on April 8 as the new head of the municipal 9th People’s Council for the remaining period of the 2016 – 2021 tenure.

HCM City (VNA) – Nguyen Thi Le, deputy secretary ofthe Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee and head of the committee’s OrganisationCommission, was voted on April 8 as the new head of the municipal 9th People’s Council for the remaining period of the 2016 – 2021 tenure.

Le was elected to the new position by winning 93.54 percentof the total votes of 93 delegates at the 13th meeting of thecouncil.

Born in 1967 in the local Cu Chi district, she has a master’sdegree in administration law. Currently, she is a member of the council.

Participants also voted to dismiss Nguyen Thi Quyet Tam fromthe position of the Chairperson, Truong Thi Anh from Vice Chairperson.Meanwhile, Huynh Cach Mang was also removed from the position of Vice Chairmanof the People’s Committee.

Those officials were dismissed over retirement and positiontransfer.-VNA

Vietnam, China sign 32 cooperation documents

The documents include a cooperation plan between the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the Communist Party of China (CPC) for the 2026–2030 period; a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation between the Organisation Commission of the CPV Central Committee and its Chinese counterpart; and a cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam and the International Liaison Department of the CPC Central Committee.
