HCM City sends health workers to aid other localities in COVID-19 combat

HCM City (VNA)– Medical workers from the Cho Ray and Thong Nhat hospitals in Ho Chi Minh Cityhave left for Ca Mau and Ninh Thuan provinces to help with the COVID-19 fightthere.

The teamfrom the Thong Nhat Hospital on October 16 departed for central Ninh Thuanprovince, where the pandemic has got worse over the past few days. Theyalso brought along equipment and medicine necessary for treating patients incritical conditions.

Director of the Thong NhatHospital Le Dinh Thanh said the team will stay in Ninh Thuan until thecoronavirus outbreak in the central province is basically brought undercontrol.

Meanwhile, the team from the Cho Ray Hospital went to the southernmost province of CaMau on October 15.

Apart from treatingCOVID-19 patients, they will also provide advice and training for local healthworkers.

HCM City sent medicalpersonnel to assist other localities after its pandemic situation has basicallybeen stabilised.

In the previousoutbreaks, it deployed a large number of health personnel to help provinces andcities nationwide in COVID-19 prevention, control, and treatment./.
