Ho Chi Minh City: All workers in key factories return in full force

To attract and retain workers after the holiday, numerous companies have offered salary, bonus, and allowance packages, with extra perks for those who showed up right after Tet.

Ho Chi Minh City (VNA) – Production and trade in Ho Chi Minh City’s industrial and export processing zones have returned to normal, a positive sign following the Lunar New Year (Tet) break 2026, reported the Ho Chi Minh City Export Processing and Industrial Zones Authority (HEPZA) on March 2.

HEPZA deputy head Truong Van Phong said every key production line is fully staffed again. He called the vibe on the factory floors electric, with workers buzzing with energy and already gunning for a big year.

Doan Van Khoa, deputy head of the Employment and Labour Safety Division under the municipal Department of Home Affairs, said many enterprises let migrant workers stretch their Tet vacation by tacking on annual leave. Those with sizable payrolls also handed out targeted incentives, such as Tet “lucky money” envelopes and special first-day-of-the-year bonuses to ensure everyone clocked in on time.
