Ho Chi Minh City (VNA) – Chairman of the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Phan Van Mai on April 5 had a meeting with Hungarian Ambassador to Vietnam Baloghdi Tibor.
Speaking at the meeting, the chairman affirmed the city’s role and wish to contribute to further strengthening relations between the two countries. He expressed his belief that the diplomat will act as a bridge to help Hungarian enterprises come and seek cooperation opportunities in potential areas such as trade, health, education as well as cultural exchange.
Mai said with existing potential and strength, the city is ready to connect Hungary to southern localities under the European country’s collaboration expansion plan.
HCM City continues to effectively work with the Consulate General of Hungary in southern metropolis in activities towards the celebration of the 75th anniversary of friendship between Vietnam and Hungary.
For his part, the ambassador said he will do his utmost during his tenure to support the two countries' businesses to seek for investment opportunities, while expressing his belief in the sound development of the two countries’ relations in all spheres./.
