Hue International Food Festival 2014 to come in mid-April

In the framework of the Hue Festival 2014, the Thua Thien - Hue’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will coordinate with Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and the Thua Thien - Hue Hotel Association to organise the Hue International Food Festival 2014 from April 15 - 19 April.

This event, to be held at Hue city’s Phu Xuan park, aims to honorand promote the unique, typical cuisine of Vietnam , especial that ofHue , and those of participating countries to domestic and internationalvisitors, and contribute to boost up the relationship and friendshipbetween Vietnam and other countries, the VNAT said.

The festival will see more than 100 booths, 20 of which are reservedfor foreign countries. The focus of the festival is the 10 Vietnamesedishes recognised by the Asian Record Organization.

Inaddition, there will be many exciting activities to bring newexperiences to visitors such as food exhibitions, beer festival, andbartenders’ performances.

The Hue International FoodFestival 2014 is expected to be one of the important highlights of theHue Festival 2014. Visitors will have a chance to explore and enjoy alot of art and cultural programmes and taste Vietnam ’s typicalcuisines.-VNA
