Khai Dinh tomb - unique mausoleum of Nguyen dynasty

Khai Dinh Tomb, also known as Ung mausoleum, is the resting place of Khai Dinh, the 12th King of the Nguyen Dynasty (1802–1945). According to historical records, the site, which is located on the slopes of Chau Chu Mountain in Thuy Bang Ward, Hue City, was chosen by Khai Dinh with construction beginning in 1920. After the King passed away in 1925, he was laid to rest there, though the tomb was not fully completed until 1931. Now the site is a tourist attraction for those visiting the former capital of Vietnam.
