Lao victims rescued from traffic accident in Quang Tri

Quang Tri (VNA) – Local authorities and residents of Quang Tri central province safely removed 14 foreigners from a passenger vehicle that overturned in an accident on National Highway 9 in Cam Lo township, Cam Lo district, on July 15.
The vehicle was being driven by a Lao man towards Lao Bao-Dong Ha when it crashed into a concrete pillar and overturned.
Rescue forces and local residents were on the scene quickly to provide support to the victims, who were all Lao nationals.
Six Vietnamese citizens were killed and five others injured at a serious traffic accident in Chikreng district of Cambodia’s Siem Reap province on November 5 evening, according to the Vietnamese General Consulate in Battambang.
As many as 31 road traffic accidents were recorded on February 15, or the fourth day of the Lunar New Year, killing 19 people and injuring 24 others, according to the Ministry of Public Security’s Department of Traffic Police.
A total of 37 people were killed and 52 others were injured in 81 traffic accidents nationwide during the Hung Kings Commemoration Day holiday, which started on April 9.
