Leaders pay tribute to late President on National Reunification Day occasion

Hanoi (VNA) – A delegation of the Party, State, National Assembly (NA), Governmentand the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) leaders paid tribute to late President HoChi Minh at his mausoleum and offered incense at the Martyrs’ Monument in Hanoi on April27 on the occasion of the 47th anniversary of the Liberation of theSouth and National Reunification Day (April 30).
The delegation included State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, PrimeMinister Pham Minh Chinh, NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, permanent member of theParty Central Committee’s Secretariat Vo Van Thuong, and President of the VFFCentral Committee Do Van Chien.
They showed their profound gratitude for the late Presidentwho devoted his whole life to the nation and led the Party and the people toglorious victories.

On the same day, delegations of the Ministry of NationalDefence, the Ministry of Public Security, the Party Committee, People's Counciland People's Committee of Hanoi also paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh andheroic martyrs.
47 years ago, April 30 went down to the nation's history asa brilliant milestone. The 1975 Spring General Offensive and Uprising, especiallythe historic Ho Chi Minh Campaign, liberated the South and reunified the nation./.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has issued a decision on the organisation of film screenings to celebrate Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30), Labour Day (May 1), Dien Bien Phu Victory Day (May 7), and late President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday (May 19).
The Embassy of Vietnam in Venezuela on April 26 paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his bust in Caracas capital city, on the occasion of the 47 years of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30) and towards the 132th birth anniversary of the late President.
