LienViet Bank to expand growth

LienViet Bank on May 5 signed an agreement to take part in the Global Trade Finance Programme with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), in the framework of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) annual meeting.

LienViet Bank on May 5 signed an agreement to take part in the GlobalTrade Finance Programme with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), inthe framework of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) annual meeting.

Under the terms of the agreement, LienViet Bank will receive a totalguarantee worth up to 5 million USD and have a chance to cooperate withmore than 400 major banks in the region as well as in the world.

Trade support through the programme will be carried out under lettersof credits (LC) including import LC and standby LC, guarantees and billsof exchange/notes.

Speaking at the signingceremony, LienViet Bank Deputy General Director, Nguyen Thi Thanh Sonsaid the programme not only supplies the bank with more capital but alsohelps it enlarge capacity to support customers with import and exportactivities. Additionally, LienViet also receives technological supportfrom IFC and widen relations with sub-agency banks, thus helpingLienViet to make further steps onto the international market./.
