Local trains resume operation after social distancing eased

The Vietnam Railways on April 23 said it will resume the operation of some local trains on the occasion of the national Liberation Day (April 30) and May Day, following the decision to ease social distancing taken by the Government.

Hanoi (VNA) –
The Vietnam Railways on April 23 said it will resume the operation of some local trains on the occasion of the national Liberation Day (April 30)and May Day, following the decision to ease social distancing taken by the Government.

Trains will be re-operated on Hanoi-Hai Phong and Hanoi-Yen Bai routes from April 24.

Meanwhile, those of the Ho Chi Minh City-Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City-Nha Trang routes will resume operation from April 25 and 29, respectively.

Earlier, the operation of another train on the Hanoi-HCM City route was resumed on April 23, raising the totalto three every day.

Also from April 23, the Vietnam Railways has conducted a train on the Hanoi-Vinh route with ticket discounts of 10-30 percent./.

Quang Tri: Housing campaign brings hope for landslide-affected communities
