The Malaysian Home Ministry has ordered tighter securities for embassies in the country especially those that had received threats.

Home Minister Seri Hismmaundin Hussein said the ministry had reports from certain embassies informing them of threats.

“We have ordered tighter securities for them and certain locations have been monitored together with relevant authorities for years,” he said.
However, Hishammudin declined to reveal the number of embassies involved.

He said amendment of the Internal Security Act (ISA) was also a step towards fighting the terrorists, adding that the cooperation among neighbouring countries was important in this struggle/.
