- The discussion of the Indo-PacificEconomic Framework for Prosperity (IPEF) should aim at a framework that bringspractical benefits to the people, stated Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at thelaunch ceremony of the IPEF on May 23.

- The targets set for2022, including the growth target of 6-6.5 percent, remain a huge challenge giventhe domestic and international situation, Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanhsaid at the third session of the 15th National Assembly in Hanoi on May 23.

 The Deputy PM reported that the macro economyhas been maintained, major economic balances ensured, and inflation broughtunder control, with the consumer price index (CPI) in the first four months ofthis year up 2.1 percent. Read full story

- The State budget overspending in 2020stood at over 216.4 trillion VND (9.3 million USD), equivalent to 3.44 percentof GDP, statistics showed.
