The 13 th National Assembly Standing Committee ( NASC ) convenesits 20 th meeting in Hanoi on August 12 to discuss a range ofdraft laws and several ordinances and decrees.
Addressing themeeting, NA Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung said the session and upcomingones will focus on preparations for the 13 th National Assembly’ssixth session , which is to work out measures to promote the country’ssocio-economic development, defence and security.
The committee is scheduled to spend one day to scrutinize the draft revisions to the 1992 Constitution.
It will also hear reports on the implementation of policies and lawson ensuring the quality of curricula and textbooks for generaleducation.
During the meeting, the Ministers of Justice andNatural Resources and Environment will answer questions related tomanagement in their sectors.
After the opening, NA Vice Chairman Huynh Ngoc Son presided over discussions on the draft ordinance on mobile police.-VNA
