The Standing Committee of the 13th National Assembly will convene its35th session in Hanoi on February 25, scheduled to give comments on aplan on investment and construction of international Long Thanh airport.
Duringthe three-day sitting, which comes freshly after the nine-day-long Tetholidays, the legislators will devote a lot of time tackling differingviews on the law on the election of deputies to the National Assemblyand the People’s Council; the law on natural resources, maritimeenvironment and islands; and the revised law on state budget, amongothers.
They will also look into a plan to allocate Government bond-sourced standby capital in the 2011-2015 period.
Atits 34th session, the Standing Committee spent time examiningpreparations for the upcoming 132nd General Assembly of theInter-Parliamentary Union (IPU-132), which is scheduled for March inHanoi.
IPU-132 is expected to greet delegates from more than 160 countries around the world.-VNA
