NA Standing Committee’s sixth session wraps up

Hanoi (VNA) – The National AssemblyStanding Committee wrapped up its sixth session in Hanoi on December 21 afterthree and a half days of sitting.


The committee adopted its 2022 workingprogramme and foreign affairs programme, and looked into a report on the NA’sombudsman work in November and the monthly settlement of voters’ petitions aswell as citizens’ complaints and denunciations.

They also agreed to add the draft Law onamendments and supplements to several articles of laws into the 2022 law andordinance building programme, decided to invest in the eastern section of north-southexpressway for 2021-2025 using public investment, and offered opinions on thedraft Resolution on piloting several special policies and mechanisms for CanTho city’s development, which will be submitted to the legislature at itsextraordinary meeting scheduled for January 2022.

Participants also decided on several urgent issues within theircompetence in service of the fight against the pandemic, as well as mulled overthe amendments and supplements to the committee’s working regulations.

Concluding the event, NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue asked permanentmembers of the Ethnic Affairs Council, NA committees and Office to promptlyissue the committee’s Conclusion No.72 and complete draft resolutions to submitfor signing./.
