New bridge brings joys to people in flood-hit area
For many years, local people in the Quang Binh coastal province have been in worries as the flooding season comes as they would be isolated. The new cement bridge will change the situation.
Today is a special day for Tran Thao Vy in particular and other local residents in Tân Đức village, Hương Hóa commune, Tuyên Hóa district. They no longer have to manage to wade into the water to reach school and other places during the flooding season thanks to a newly-built concrete bridge.
The concrete bridge with a total investment capital of nearly 25,000 USD is donated by artists and footballers. It is aimed at making it easier for local people to make access to public services and children to get to school.
On this occasion, donors presented gifts to poor households and disadvantaged students. A project providing lighting system to a one-km road in Huong Hoa commune was also completed./.
