Prague (VNA) – The Vietnamesecommunity in the Czech Republic joined various get-togethers across theEuropean country to celebrate the traditional Lunar New Year (Tet) festival.
The events were organised in majorlocalities such as Prague, Ostrava and Brno, and those in the border regions.
At a programme held in Chomotov city of thenorthern province of Ustecky, member of the Czech Senate Premysl Rabas spokehighly of the role and practical contributions by the Vietnamese community tothe local socio-economic development as well as the countries’ friendship.
Cultural activities of the community havehelped people in the European country understand better about the Vietnamese culture,he added.

OVs in Russia celebrate traditional Lunar New Year
The Embassy of Vietnam in Russia on January 23 held a celebration of the traditional Lunar New Year (Tet) for its staff and overseas Vietnamese who are living, working and studying in Moscow and other Russian localities.
