Hanoi (VNA) – Party General Secretary Nguyen PhuTrong on March 12 sent his congratulatory message to President-elect of theRepublic of Korea (RoK) Yoon Suk-yeol and Lee Jun-seok, head of the country’s PeoplePower Party (PPP).
Cabled on the occasion of the PPP candidate Yoon Suk-yeolwinning the country’s presidential election, the message expressed Trong’sconfidence in further development and prosperity for the country and its peopleunder the pair’s leadership.
The Vietnamese Party leader stated that in the past time, theVietnam - RoK strategic cooperative partnership has developed strongly,practically, and effectively in all fields with the participation of their politicalparties, governments, parliaments, businesses and people.
He also highlighted his wish and willingness to work withthe two RoK leaders in fostering the sound relationship between the twoparties and nations in the time to come.
Vietnam and the RoK established bilateral diplomaticrelations on December 22, 1992. They are working to raise their two-way tradeto 100 billion USD by 2023 and 150 billion USD by 2030./.
