Mai, who is also head of the CPV CentralCommittee’s Commission for Mass Mobilisation, made the statement during a reception in Hanoion November 20 for Vice Chair of Germany’sDie Linke (The Left) party Simone Oldenburg, who is in Vietnam to attend the first policy dialoguebetween her party and the CPV.
She wished that both sides would step upfriendship and cooperation between the two parties, thereby boosting tiesbetween the two nations.
Oldenburg, for her part, hoped to discuss eachparty’s current situation, as well as regional and global issues of sharedconcern during the working trip.
She expressed support for Germany-Vietnam tiesand wished to foster cooperation between the two parties, adding that mutualvisits and dialogues will raise mutual understanding between both sides.
During the policy dialogue, co-chaired by headof the CPV Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations Hoang BinhQuan and Vice Chair Oldenburg, both sides shared their experiences in dealingwith relations between market economy and socialism, and between market andState; challenges to the socialism-oriented market economy in Vietnam; andleft-wing forces in Germany and Europe at present.
They also discussed ways to reinforce friendshipand collaboration between the two parties and nations, considering the dialoguea new milestone for the ties.–VNA
