PM bolsters VN’s reputation during foreign visits

PM Dung’s working visit to Russia reaped important results with a number of agreements signed covering cooperation in oil and gas, energy, mining, security and national defence.
Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Thanh Son said the PM’s Russia visit was a more-than-expected success, affirming clearly the mutual trust between the two states and marking a turning-point and a new peak in Vietnam-Russia relations.
PM Dung’s attendance and his speech delivered at the plenary session of the UN climate change conference were also lauded by the international community.
According to Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Pham Khoi Nguyen, the PM’s speech was ranked among the first 10 receiving appreciation from the world public.
Nguyen said on the sidelines of the conference, PM Dung and Vietnamese accompanying ministers held more than 30 bilateral meetings with leaders of participating nations and international organisations.
At these meetings, the government leader and officials presented Vietnam’s views in response to climate change and rallied more funding for its efforts in this field./.
