PM calls for drastic measures in 2015

Summing up discussions at avideo conference between the Government and local administrations, thePM required that all ministries, sectors and localities continue tofocus their attention on removing obstacles and creating favourableconditions for production and trade and accelerating economicrestructuring.

“Economic growth is thecenterpiece of our policy. The Government’s objective is to supportbusinesses and resolve issues that are hindering growth. This resolutionmust be reflected in practical changes,” he said.

At the same time, the PM called for tighter control on the StateBudget to ensure effective public investment and prevention of waste.

“Regarding public investment, we all know thereis wasteful spending in many areas, and it has to stop. Tax money shouldbe invested effectively,” he said.

PM Dungalso emphasised an important task which is to continue improvingpeople’s living standards and social security, especially through betterprovision of health care, education and jobs.

In light of the upcoming New Year and Tet holidays, the PM urgedministries and localities to plan their working schedule in advance toensure that administrations and other operations run smoothly,especially at taxation, customs, import and export offices.

He also ordered ministries and localities to improve theircommunication with the media by providing truthful, accurate informationin a proactive and timely manner.

Publicconfidence in the Government is of crucial importance if the country isto fulfil its socio-economic development tasks and achieve itsobjectives in the years to come, the PM said in conclusion.-VNA
