On a flight repatriating Vietnamese citizens from India (Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs andother representative agencies of Vietnam in India are working closely with competent agencies and airlines in Vietnam to prepare plans to support Vietnamesecitizens and arrange flights to bring them home when necessary in conformity with developments of thepandemic, the ministry's Vice Spokesman Doan Khac Viet said on April29.
At the ministry’s regular press conference, Viet saidright after new COVID-19 developments were reported in India and a number ofSoutheast Asian nations, the ministry directed Vietnamese representative agenciesthere to prepare citizen protection measures and closely coordinate with localcompetent agencies to get updated on the situations with a special focus on treating Vietnamese citizens in need.
He said that these Vietnamese agencies have continuallyposted relevant updates on their official websites and recommended Vietnamesecitizens raise their awareness on pandemic control and follow relatedregulations of the host nations.
