President Sang greets families of former Chinese experts

Their visit came at a time when the country is gearing up for the 60th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu victory.
President Sang said he hopes both sides will facilitate the exchangeof visits to educate young generations on the Vietnam – Chinafriendship.

Vice Chairman of the China –Vietnam FriendshipAssociation Qi Jianguo thanked the Vietnamese ministries and localitiesfor offering them tours of cultural and historic sites, expressingbelief that the bilateral ties will be lifted to a greater height on theback of mutual efforts.

Qi informed his host that the delegation will discuss tourism cooperation with Vietnamese agencies concerned.

The same day, President of the Vietnam Union of FriendshipOrganisations Vu Xuan Hong welcomed the Chinese guests, saying that theformer Chinese advisors and experts have made contributions to Vietnam –China ties.

Qi said both associations should organise moreactivities to bolster people-to-people friendship, particularly thecollection of documents and artifacts related to memorable eventsthroughout the Vietnamese and Chinese history.-VNA
