Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on Nov. 18 had separatemeetings with leaders of Thailand, Brunei, China, Japan, theRepublic of Korea, Malaysia and Singapore, on the sidelines ofthe 19th ASEAN Summit in Bali, Indonesia.
Atthe meetings between PM Dung with Thai PM Yingluck Shinawatra, Brunei’sSultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, Japanese PMYoshihiko Noda, RoK President Lee Myung-bak, Malaysian PM Najib Razakand Singaporean PM Lee Hsien Loong, the leaders promised to make greaterefforts to strengthen bilateral relations between Vietnam and theconcerned nations, especially in economics, trade, investment andemerging issues such as coping with climate change and environmentalissues.
Meeting with Chinese Premier Wen, the twogovernment leaders noted with pleasure the development of bilateral tiesin a wide range of areas, especially in trade and investment.
PM Dung and Premier Wen pledged to effectively implement the alreadysigned agreements, including the Agreement on basic principles guidingthe settlement of sea-related issues.
At themeeting with the Thai PM, the two leaders agreed to further promotebilateral relations, especially in the fields of economics and trade aswell as responding to climate change./.
