PTSC’s floating storage sells first oil shipment

The Floating Storage and Offloading Unit No. 5 (FSO-5) of the PetroVietnam Technical Services Corporation (PTSC) has sold the first shipment of oil exploited from offshore Bach Ho oilfield.

The Floating Storage and Offloading Unit No. 5 (FSO-5) of thePetroVietnam Technical Services Corporation (PTSC) has sold the firstshipment of oil exploited from offshore Bach Ho oilfield.

The first batch of oil was pumped out at Block 09-1 of the Bach Hooilfield on January 7 in the witness of representatives from the unit’srenter Vietnam-Russia Oil and Gas Joint Venture (Vietsovpetro), theindependent inspectors EIC, and subcontractors.

FSO-5, known as PTSC Bach Ho, officially received the first flow of oil from the Bach Ho oilfield on November 8, 2010.

FSO-5 was built by the Nam Trieu Shipbuilding Industry Corporation, asubsidiary of the Vietnam National Shipbuilding Industry Group(Vinashin). It is the largest of oil floating storage in the country andthe fifth owned and co-owned by PTSC./.
