The People’s Committee of northern Quang Ninh province held a dialogue with over 600 representatives from businesses and cooperatives in Ha Long city on April 3 to update them on the local policy on socio-economic development 2017 and extricate difficulties for enterprises.

Quang Ninh (VNA) – The People’sCommittee of northern Quang Ninh province held a dialogue with over 600 representativesfrom businesses and cooperatives in Ha Long city on April 3 to update them on thelocal policy on socio-economic development 2017 and extricate difficulties forenterprises.

The meeting was also intended to seek fundingfor businesses from the Small- and Medium-Sized Enterprise DevelopmentFoundation.

Pham Hai Quynhhe , Director of Van Hai XanhTravel and Transport JSC, said he hopes the funding will help develop localSMEs, and suggested making it easier for businesses to complete all necessaryprocedures.

Chairman of the provincial People’s CommitteeNguyen Duc Long said it takes 20 days to handle administrative procedures.

At the event, entrepreneurs and investorscontributed practical ideas to improve local business environment.

Quang Ninh ranked second nationwide inprovincial competitiveness index (PCI) with 65.60 points in 2016, leaping oneplace from 2015. 

A total of 1,667 businesses were established in2016 with a total registered investment of 11.76 trillion VND (552.7 millionUSD), a year-on-year rise of 13 percent in volume and 21 percent in capital.-VNA
