The border guard force of the central province of Quang Tri, in cooperation with local authorized units, arrested two major drug smuggling cases on October 13.

Quang Tri  (VNA) - The borderguard force of the central province of Quang Tri, in cooperation with local authorizedunits, arrested two major drug smuggling cases on October 13.

Accordingly, on National Road 9 crossing Huong Hoa district, the border guardofficers at the Lao Bao International Border Gate and other forces from the provincialBorder Guards arrested a suspect who was illegally transporting 1,680 methpills.

Dao Duy Khanh, born in 1984and residing in Cam Thuy commune, Cam Lo district, was caught red-handed while transportingthe drugs which were hidden in his motorbike.

The same day, also at this location, Nguyen Huu Dong, 39, residing in My Trachcommune, Bo Trach district, was arrested when he was attempting to transport 748meth pills. The border guard force seized a number of relevant exhibits.

The cases are under further investigation.–VNA
