Reference exchange rate continues to rise

The State Bank continued to adjust the daily reference exchange rate up on July 11, setting the rate at 22,647 VND/USD, an increase of 7 VND compared to July 10.

Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank continued to adjust the dailyreference exchange rate up on July 11, setting the rate at 22,647 VND/USD, anincrease of 7 VND compared to July 10.

 With the current trading band of+/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is23,326 VND/USD and the floor rate 21,968 VND/USD.

The rates listed at commercial banks fluctuated slightly.  

Vietcombank added 5 VND to both rates, buying the green back at 23,005VND/USD and selling at 23,075 VND/USD.

 BIDV kept both rates unchangedfrom July 10, listing the buying rate at 23,005 VND/USD and the selling rate at23,075 VND/USD.

Meanwhile, Techcombank cut both rates by 5 VND, to 22,980 VND/USD(buying) and 23,080 VND/USD (selling).

The reference exchange rate opened this week (July 9) down but then wentup on the next two days.-VNA
