Hanoi (VNA) – TheState Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollarat 23,082 VND/USD, down 14 VND from the previous day.
With the current trading bandof +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applicable to commercial banks during the dayis 23,774 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,389 VND/USD.
The opening-hour rates atcommercial banks all rose.
At 8:30am, Vietcombank listedthe buying rate at 22,540 VND/USD and the selling rate at 22,850 VND/USD, bothup 10 VND from January 13.
BIDV also added 10 VND to bothrates, listing the buying rate at 22,570 VND/USD and the selling rate at 22,850VND/USD.
During the week from January 10-14, the reference exchange rate fluctuated but ended the week up 43 VND from the beginning at the week./.
