Reference exchange rate down 2 VND on May 20

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,968 VND/USD on May 20, down 2 VND from the previous day.

Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,968 VND/USD on May 20, down 2 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,216 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,720 VND/USD.

At 8:15 am, the opening-hour rates at major commercial banks saw increases.

Both Vietcombank and BIDV listed the buying rate at 25,760 VND/USD and the selling rate at 26,120 VND/USD, up 20 VND from the May 19 morning session./.
