Hanoi (VNA) - A nationwide ceremony marking the simultaneous inauguration or ground-breaking of large-scale, strategically significant projects will take place at 79 locations across the country on December 19, coinciding with the 79th anniversary of the National Resistance Day (December 19, 1946 - 2025) and in celebration of the upcoming 14th National Party Congress.

The main event is planned to take place at Long Thanh International Airport in Dong Nai province, where several infrastructure projects will be inaugurated and the first flight of the Long Thanh International Airport Project - Phase I will commence.

This is not only a politically significant event but also a milestone in reviewing the achievements of the 2021-2025 period, reflecting the implementation of the strategic breakthroughs in developing modern, synchronised infrastructure as outlined in the 13th National Party Congress Resolution. It underscores the socio-economic achievements made so far and generates new momentum for the next stage of development.

In recent years, unprecedented records have been set in terms of progress, driven by determination, resilience, and dedication to the collective interests of the nation. As of December 14, the Ministry of Construction had compiled a list of 237 projects and works from ministries, localities, corporations, and state-owned enterprises across 34 provinces and cities, all of which meet the criteria for groundbreaking or inauguration. These projects and works have a combined investment of more than 3.4 quadrillion VND (129 billion USD). Of this amount, state capital accounts for 627 trillion VND, and other sources contribute more than 2.79 quadrillion VND.

The chosen projects are strategically significant, reflecting the nation's collective effort to overcome challenges and pursue development. They are tangible evidence of Vietnam's infrastructure progress and demonstrate the consistent determination of the Party, Government, and people to build a prosperous nation.

It can be said that the success of this unprecedented event will not only spread the energy and inspiration but, more importantly, contribute meaningfully and sustainably to the country's strong development in a new phase, which is marked by significant breakthroughs and the aspiration to move forward./.
