Reference exchange rate down 30 VND on May 15

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,219 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,722 VND/USD.

Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,970 VND/USD on May 15, down 3 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,219 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,722 VND/USD.

At 8:30 am, the opening-hour rates at major commercial banks saw decreases.

Both Vietcombank and BIDV listed the buying rate at 25,750 VND/USD and the selling rate at 26,110 VND/USD, down 30 VND from the May 14 morning session./.
