Reference exchange rate down 6 VND at week’s beginning

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,945 VND/USD on May 12, down 6 VND from the last work day of the previous week.

Hanoi (VNA) - The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate for the US dollar at 24,945 VND/USD on May 12, down 6 VND from the last work day of the previous week.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,192 VND/USD and the floor rate 23,698 VND/USD.

At 8:25 am, the opening-hour rates at major commercial banks remained unchanged.

Both Vietcombank and BIDV listed the buying rate at 25,780 VND/USD and the selling rate at 26,140 VND/USD, unchanged from the May 9 morning session./.
