Reference exchange rate down 20 VND

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily referenceexchange rate for the US dollar at 23,105 VND/USD on January 10, down 20 VNDfrom the previous day. 

With thecurrent trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applicable to commercialbanks during the day is 23,818 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,431 VND/USD.

Theopening-hour rates at commercial banks saw fluctuations.

At 8:20 am,Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 22,510 VND/USD and the selling rate at22,820 VND/USD, both down from January 10.

BIDV raised bothrates by 10 VND, listing the buying rate at 22,560 VND/USD and the selling rateat 22,840 VND/USD./.
