RoK considers joining CPTPP
The Trade Ministry of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on September 30 said that it is reviewing joining the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) in line with its goal to play a leading role in trade in the region.

The CPTPP is the renegotiated version of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) led by the US under President Barack Obama but abandoned by his successor, Donald Trump.
Eleven countries, including Japan, are currently participating in the trade deal./.
