The VN30 tracking the top 30 shares by market capitalisation and liquidity, was up 0.19 percent at 543.56 points.

Overall, losers outnumbered gainers by 105-94 while another 106 close flat.

Both market volume and value fell 22 percent from the previous day, totaling 31.5 million shares, worth 613 billion VND (29.2 million USD).

On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index also rose 0.21 percent to 61.62 points, but trading remained modest with 12.2 million shares worth more than 11.1 billion VND (5.3 million USD) exchanged.-VNA
