Artist Nagano Hideko, famous Japanese author of children’s picture books, is loved by Vietnamese children for her interesting picture books and her talks full of laughter.
About 5.6 percent of Vietnamese children are at risk of trafficking, and only 2.8 percent of them confirmed they were victims of human trafficking, according to the latest research announced on August 13 by the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs’ Institute of Labour and Social Affairs (ILSA) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Vietnam.
A communications programme “For the safe life of children” was held in Ho Chi Minh City for over 500 workers in Binh Tan district, the first activity in a series of events to raise awareness of young families working in industrial and processing zones about protecting their children from sex abuse.
